The Rabbi Who Knew Too Much is the story of Jonathan Jacob Kadison, a young man from Minneapolis who is inspired by the Six-Day War to settle on a border kibbutz in Israel. As the kibbutz comes under fire from the other side of the Jordan, Jonathan spends his days helping build the community's defenses. But when idealism leads to disillusionment, he leaves the Holy Land for the Golden State to go into the ''family business'' and become a rabbi--a tradition that spans thirteen generations.

Soon he is called to a pulpit in New Zealand, where he stumbles over some covert information that Israel's Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations--the Mossad--will do anything to keep hidden.

Travel the world with JJ Kadison from the Midwest to the Middle East, then to California, the South Pacific, Dubai, and Singapore in this fictional memoir that goes behind the scenes of some recent real-world events and provides a rabbi's-eye view on ethnicity, patriotism, vengeance, and justice.

IMHO possibly would have been better written as a straight autobiography By Norniedel I'm not a big reader of fiction, and I took a while to get used to the style of this 'biographical novel'. IMHO possibly would have been better written as a straight autobiography. Interesting look at life on the kibbutz in 1960s-70s Israel. As far as the story goes, I felt there was too much detail and too many dates, which, for me, disturbed the flow of the narrative.Otherwise a good read and a colourful tale.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Mossad Covert Actions By Jill Bemis This fiction account of Rabbi Kadison slows down significantly as chronological events starting in 1967 and ending in 2007 hint at but do not capture the urgency, thrill or mystic of the opening event. Readers who enjoy international espionage will appreciate the way author Kopstein include real location and events in the story.

I never liked Darren either. There is something about him that just doesn't feel right. I'm proud of Eli for being able to not only admit his part but still be true to his convictions. No more just taking what Faith dished out. He manned up with her and it was great to see. Faith needed a kick in the butt to see that she played just as much a part in her marriage!s decline Eli did. Without giving anything away, Simone and Darren have no idea what they are about to unleash with this family. Ms. Roberts you did a wonderful job with this book. I can not wait for the conclusion. Also, thank you for a bit of Scott and Mari. Can't wait to read the finished product of that story as well.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Worth the wait! By krys I have been waiting for this book forever! It will be an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. I love the rich character development. I am rooting for Eli & Faith. I don't blame Faith for what happen this go around as I feel I would do the same but I'm glad she had a come to Jesus moment and actually got through this a stronger and better person. I still can't stand coconut. Can't wait for the war book! Love the visit from Scott & M and hints regarding Tony & Krista. (They need a book asap)

Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616) was a Spanish novelist, poet, and playwright. His magnum opus, Don Quixote, is considered a founding classic of Western literature and regularly figures among the best novels ever written. He has been dubbed el Principe de los Ingenios - the Prince of Wits. In 1585, he published a pastoral novel, La Galatea. Because of financial problems, he worked as a purveyor for the Spanish Armada, and later as a tax collector. In 1605 he was in Valladolid, just when the immediate success of the first part of his Don Quixote, published in Madrid, signaled his return to the literary world. In 1607, he settled in Madrid, where he lived and worked until his death. During the last nine years of his life, he solidified his reputation as a writer; he published the Exemplary Novels (Novelas Ejemplares) in 1613 and the Journey to Parnassus (Viaje del Parnaso) in 1614. In 1615, he wrote Eight Plays and Eight New Interludes (Ocho Comedias y Ocho Entremeses) and the second part of Don Quixote.

There was so much of it that Cervantes gave us in comical yet serious situations this book was hailed as the best book of all ti By Chiek The wit and wisdom of the characters of Don Quixote and Panza Sancho set the novel 'Don Quixote' on fire. There was so much of it that Cervantes gave us in comical yet serious situations, this book was hailed as the best book of all times. Although I cannot say if it is greatest book because I have not read all the books in the world to make a fair assessment. But certainly I will rank this book amongst the top 5 that I have read at this point in time.

The thing about passion is that it never comes in the shape you want it to, and it never ends with a “happily ever after”, she tried to abandon any thoughts of him by looking out the plane window “Maybe I could just lie and say that I missed the plane?” Below her was London, the city in her heart and the place she had avoided because of him. Amara’s stepbrother had no plans to avoid her, he had waited for her return to London for months. To be part of the same family had been a problem for years and now they would have to spend time under the same roof again. The thought was terrifying, to be so close and still not be able to do anything for the fear of causing a scandal… This BWWM romance is for adult audiences 18+ only

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I enjoyed Amara and Paul's love story... By Amazon Customer It took them long enough!!! Paul and Amara were about to sacrifice their love for the family. Amara struggled with what everyone would say or feel and I think Paul felt the same way but they were miserable apart. It was a eight year affair that had them in and out of one another's lives. I didn't get that initially but over the span of them telling their feelings it was evident that they loved each other. It was everyone else I think that caused Amara to doubt what they had. Finally Paul was ready to go all in and Helen said it best ... they never act like siblings. I liked this book because it showed the emotional feelings that families had -- in this case it had nothing to do with them being an IR couple but a family of 'siblings'. Most books skip this layer of the family dynamic and make it all okay. In this case, it was as much a part of the storyline as the love the couple shared. Good Job and I will be looking for other books by Kat Habari.

Lovely By Sam Trousler Untold stories, ruined relationships and just overall underlying plots, this fast paced and beautiful story will have your heart racing. The presentation of the characters is so exquisite and the writer moves the story in a reasonable pace. The story is well developed and is enough and the setting is perfect. When they see each other again, you have no choice but root for them, for the sparks that fly when they are together. This is a beautiful story that is not predictable at all and I appreciate that.

George Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856 – 2 November 1950) was a Nobel-Prize and Oscar-winning Irish playwright, critic and socialist whose influence on Western theatre, culture and politics stretched from the 1880s to his death in 1950. Originally earning his way as an influential London music and theatre critic, Shaw's greatest gift was for the modern drama. Strongly influenced by Henrik Ibsen, he successfully introduced a new realism into English-language drama. He wrote more than 60 plays, among them Man and Superman, Mrs. Warren's Profession, Major Barbara, Saint Joan, Caesar and Cleopatra, and Pygmalion. With his range from biting contemporary satire to historical allegory, Shaw became the leading comedy dramatist of his generation and one of the most important playwrights in the English language since the 17th century.
